There is a lot to do at Byron Park and even more to do in our surrounding area. Byron Park is just blocks away from restaurants, entertainment and shopping. We offer hourly shuttle service to all major surrounding parks and shopping areas. We are also surrounded by an abundance of parks and open spaces. If you get in the mood for city life we are near the Walnut Creek BART station which has a direct line to San Francisco.
Heather Farms Park
Perfect for a Sunday morning stroll or picnic, Heather Farms Park offers a swim center, including a senior swim club, tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, walking trails, fishing pond, duck ponds, event center, skateboard park, picnic areas with playgrounds for children. They also have native plant and rose gardens and gardening classes.
Broadway Plaza
This is a unique and upscale shopping center in downtown Walnut Creek. Because it has a street, with traffic, running down the center, it's more like the downtown look many newer malls are striving to copy. Every corner of this center is adorned with beautiful landscaping, which makes it enjoyable to stroll and people-watch.

Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts
The City's performing and visual arts center, opened in October 1990, houses the 800-seat Hofmann Theatre, the 300-seat Margaret Lesher Theatre, the 130-seat Knight Foundation Stage 3 Theatre.

Mount Diablo State Park
On a clear day, from the summit of Mount Diablo State Park, visitors can see 35 of California's 58 counties. It is a great place for an afternoon picnic and with binoculars, Yosemite's Half Dome is even visible from Mt. Diablo. The park features include hiking and rock climbing opportunities. The mountain was regarded as sacred to Native Americans.
